About Teanna

Teanna is a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology student completing her practicum placement under clinical supervision as she works toward registration as a psychotherapist. She strives to create a warm, respectful, and non-judgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported.

Prior to pursuing counselling, Teanna worked as a first responder, supporting individuals through high-pressure and emotionally complex situations. This experience shaped her calm, grounded presence and deep understanding of how stress, trauma exposure, and responsibility can affect mental health and well-being.

She welcomes clients from all backgrounds and has particular insight into the unique challenges faced by first responders and individuals in demanding or high-stress roles. Her approach is grounded in person-centered and trauma-informed principles, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and collaboration.

Teanna works alongside clients to build self-awareness, strengthen resilience, and support meaningful personal growth at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
